The logic is bundling: a single visit clearing 3–5 small jobs is far more efficient than several separate specialist call-outs, and most repairs take under an hour each once a competent handyman is on site with the right tooling.
The line is regulatory. Anything notifiable under Part P (fixed wiring), Gas Safe (gas appliances), or Building Regulations (structural changes) cannot be done as general repair work.
